* The First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 and/or HLTAID006) that is required by this qualification, is not assessed or delivered by AIAS. Students need to obtain these certificated qualifications externally and provide them to AIAS once completed.

Outcomes

Employmentremedial massage therapist careers

Graduates from the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy will be competent base level massage therapists. The course provides skills in relaxation and therapeutic massage, with students also able to study specialised aromatherapy, reflexology or business subjects. You will find employment in a range of areas including in a clinic (or in your own clinic), in a spa facility, with sports teams and in the fitness industry or in an aged care or a palliative care facility.

Common job titles for those who have studied this course are Massage Therapist, Massage Therapy Practitioner or Assistant Massage Therapist.

Further Study

Some units of study from the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy  can be credited towards other courses at AIAS. Our graduates usually extend their studies to include the Diploma of Remedial Massage, Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine Remedial Massage, Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies or Diploma of Reflexology.
