It is an entry requirement to this course that you must be able to demonstrate competency, either through a training program or recognition process, in the subjects covered in Certificate IV level Kinesiology training.
Description
The Diploma of Kinesiology at AIAS will provide you with training in the complex field of kinesiology and will teach you how to apply this understanding as a diagnostic and healing technique.
This course will give you the training and skills necessary to work in a clinic environment, and you will learn how to conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner.
Kinesiology students will learn a range of topics including effective counselling and emotional trauma defusing techniques. There are also studies centred on energy imbalances in relation to muscle affecting pain flexibility, strength and the jaw.
Many students find the units which cover allergies and sensitivities to foods, substances and environmental issue of great value, while some find that learning kinesiology techniques and the effectiveness of vibrational energies such as flower essences, gems, charkas and the auric fields of greatest use.
To complement these units, there are a number of units covering other emotional aspects of health.
Areas of study in the Diploma of Kinesiology at AIAS include: communication; kinesiology; applied kinesiology; massage therapy; remedial massage; anatomy and physiology; musculoskeletal anatomy; clinical medicine; practice management, law and ethics.

Career Pathways
Employment
Graduates of the Diploma of Kinesiology from AIAS will be competent in kinesiology practice and you will be expected to have advanced skills in a specialised area.
You might go on to be self-employed as an independent practitioner, work within a larger health service or be involved in undertaking research activities.
The qualification covers the provision of kinesiology balances to clients with specific needs such as palliative care, aged care, women and children.
You will be expected to have knowledge of other treatments, and how they relate to kinesiology, and you will be able to critically appraise these. As a graduate of the Diploma of Kinesiology, you will be able to dispense vibrational medicine and you may supervise other kinesiologists.
Graduates of this course find jobs as kinesiologists or specialist kinesiology practitioners.
