The Diploma of Reflexology at AIAS is the ideal course to give you the skills to launch your career as a Reflexologist.
Reflexology is based on the principle that certain points on the hands, feet and ears correspond with parts of the body. Applying pressure to these points with tools or lotions and can treat pain, illness and injury.
This nationally accredited course is the perfect pathway for anyone wishing to enter the reflexology profession. Whether you’re a mature student wanting to change career, a recent school leaver or an established professional wishing to add reflexology to an existing set of skills, this course will allow you to realise your career objectives.
Description
The course will give you a firm grounding in all key areas of reflexology and related disciplines such as Massage Therapy, Cross Fibre Mobilisation and Shiatsu. This coupled with modules on Medical Science such as Anatomy and Physiology, and Musculoskeletal Anatomy means that you’ll have a well-rounded qualification. Further units provide opportunities for flexibility and specialisation depending on your career goals, such as Aromatherapy, Remedial Massage, Nutrition, Point Location and Chinese Acupressure/Philosophy.
In terms of performing day-to-day, this course covers the training and skills required to operate in a clinic environment, ensuring that you’re fully able to conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner.

Career Pathways
Employment
Those qualified in reflexology are employed in a range of settings including clinics, spas and health retreats and resorts.
There are opportunities for you to operate as a self-employed independent practitioner or to gain employment in any of the settings mentioned above. Once you have gained experience and become established in the field, you might progress to management level, coordinating the work of other reflexology practitioners.
Graduates of the Diploma of Reflexology from AIAS often find employment as reflexologists or reflexology practitioners.
Further Study
There are opportunities to enhance your professional skill set at AIAS by completing further qualifications in related areas. You will receive full recognition of prior learning for the successful completion of any subjects in the Diploma of Reflexology which also appear in those courses.
The Diploma of Reflexology can also be used as a pathway to degree study with the possibility of credit transfer.
