Available both online and on-campus, students studying the Diploma of Remedial Massage have the flexibility to study how they want and when they want. Nationally Recognised Training

There is more to becoming a Remedial Massage Therapist than just providing exceptional treatments. Having studied a range of physiology, sports massage and musculoskeletal anatomy subjects, trained therapists from AIAS can help individuals to overcome a range of physical issues.

In order to help you feel more confident & comfortable practicing on real patients, AIAS also offers work experience in either our Student Clinic (if you’re near a campus) or at a Vocational Placement near you. Still want to know more? Then just contact one of our Student Enrolment Advisors today.

Online students who are unable to attend the AIAS Clinic will have to complete mandatory vocational placement.

Industry recognition of our remedial massage courses

Each of the remedial massage courses that are available at AIAS are recognised by the regulated Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). AIAS also has approval from the Department of Education which enables each of our eligible students to access VET FEE-HELP on specified qualifications. To find out more just click here.

Employment

remedial massage therapistGraduates of the Diploma of Remedial Massage will have all the skills required to be self-employed as independent practitioners or to work within a larger health service.

The course covers the provision of remedial massage treatment to clients with specific needs such as injury management, rehabilitation, palliative care, aged care, women and children. Practitioners at this level may supervise other massage therapists.

Graduates of the Diploma of Remedial Massage generally gain employment as Remedial Therapists, Remedial Massage Therapists, or Remedial Massage Practitioners.

Further Study

The Diploma of Remedial Massage can also be used as a stepping stone to further study in additional massage practices at Diploma level or in Natural Medicine faculties at Advanced Diploma level, or even as a pathway to higher education.
