If you’ve always been interested in learning a massage technique or developing your skills further, than the Diploma of Remedial Massage from AIAS is perfect for you. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to the industry, currently practicing or looking to come back, this industry recognised diploma will ensure you’re ready to go.

Available both online and on-campus, students studying the Diploma of Remedial Massage have the flexibility to study how they want and when they want. This means that you don’t need to stop working or hand over your social life in order to begin your dream career as a Remedial Massage Therapist – how good is that!

There is more to becoming a Remedial Massage Therapist than just providing exceptional treatments. Having studied a range of physiology, sports massage and musculoskeletal anatomy subjects, trained therapists from AIAS can help individuals to overcome a range of physical issues.

In order to help you feel more confident & comfortable practicing on real patients, AIAS also offers work experience in either our Student Clinic (if you’re near a campus) or at a Vocational Placement near you. Still want to know more? Then just contact one of our Student Enrolment Advisors today.

Online students who are unable to attend the AIAS Clinic will have to complete mandatory vocational placement.

* The First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 and/or HLTAID006) that is required by this qualification, is not assessed or delivered by AIAS. Students need to obtain these certificated qualifications externally and provide them to AIAS once completed.

Employment

remedial massage therapistGraduates of the Diploma of Remedial Massage will have all the skills required to be self-employed as independent practitioners or to work within a larger health service.

The course covers the provision of remedial massage treatment to clients with specific needs such as injury management, rehabilitation, palliative care, aged care, women and children. Practitioners at this level may supervise other massage therapists.

Graduates of the Diploma of Remedial Massage generally gain employment as Remedial Therapists, Remedial Massage Therapists, or Remedial Massage Practitioners.

Further Study

The Diploma of Remedial Massage can also be used as a stepping stone to further study in additional massage practices, such as the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy. Graduates can also use their massage qualification to study Natural Medicine or as a pathway to higher education.
