The right course for you?

Nationally Recognised TrainingIf you're new to the industry and you’re looking for an aromatherapy qualification, the Certificate IV in Aromatherapy is the course for you.

This course is ideally suited for anybody who wants to obtain fundamental knowledge of aromatherapy and the application of essential oils and their use in aromatherapy massage. This course does not require any previous aromatherapy knowledge and is open for direct entry.

The Certificate IV in Aromatherapy would suit anyone looking for a change in career, school leavers, those wishing to add aromatherapy to their professional skill set, or overseas-trained aromatherapists wishing to ensure their training is comparable to that which is required in Australia.

The course is available online.

Essence bottles - Certificate IV in AromatherapyWith a focus on aromatherapy based relaxation massage, this course provides a broad range of knowledge and practical skills required to be an aromatherapist. The Certificate IV in Aromatherapy provides an opportunity for students to develop basic anatomy and physiology knowledge. The knowledge and practical experience obtained in all subjects studied in the Certificate IV of Aromatherapy will provide the student with the necessary skills in assessing their client’s needs, so they can competently plan and implement an appropriate series of treatments.

Twenty-nine essential oils will be studied in this course, taking into account the chemical origins and properties of these each oil. The physiological benefits of these oils will be investigated in relation to the treatment of various conditions that an aromatherapist will encounter in a clinical setting.

As part of your qualification you will spend time within the AIAS Natural Medicine Clinic which operates to the public, giving you experience with real clients in a real work environment.
