Overview
The right course for you?
If you're new to the industry and looking to further your skills in aromatherapy, then the Diploma of Aromatherapy is the course for you.
If you've achieved a Certificate IV in Aromatherapy, and want to take your aromatherapy training to the next level before entering the profession, this diploma will provide skills and knowledge that will enable you to go into practice either independently or as part of an established team.
The Diploma of Aromatherapy is also ideally suited for overseas-trained aromatherapists, looking to bring their skills to the Australian market and wanting to ensure that your training is comparable to Australian requirements.
Description
Aromatherapy training involves using aromatic extracts of plants for relaxation, treating ailments, healing, and health improvement. It is a pre-requisite to this course to have completed the Certificate IV in Aromatherapy, and the Diploma of Aromatherapy builds on the knowledge acquired during that course.
The Diploma of Aromatherapy includes learning modules in nutrition, and the use of aromatherapy in specific and rare conditions. The program has been developed with thorough industry consultation and is taught by experienced AIAS staff members who are practising aromatherapists.
As part of your qualification you will spend time within the AIAS Natural Medicine Clinic which operates to the public, giving you experience with real clients in a real work environment.
